This online workshop presents a slightly condensed version of Kristy Elliott’s popular in-person Introduction to Restorative Practice training - adapted for the online environment while maintaining the depth, practical application, and relational foundations that participants value.
You'll leave with both the why and the how behind restorative approaches, along with tools and language you can use in your classroom or school community right away.
The foundational theory of restorative practice in school settings
What it means to cultivate a restorative mindset
Neuroscience and trauma-informed principles behind restorative work
Practical restorative language, dialogue, and processes to repair harm and build belonging
This introduction training is the foundation for deeper learning. Participants who complete this workshop are eligible to join our Advanced Restorative Practices intensive (2-day in-person training, July 2026), where we explore trauma-informed practice, restorative coaching, and navigating complex conversations in greater depth
This online workshop presents a slightly condensed version of Kristy Elliott’s popular in-person Introduction to Restorative Practice training. It’s designed to offer educators a practical, research-informed foundation to begin or deepen their restorative journey.
Foundations of restorative practice in schools
What it means to have a restorative mindset
Neuroscientific & psychological underpinnings of RP
How to use restorative language, dialogue & processes to repair harm
Circle pedagogy for community and relationship-building
Primary & secondary educators, wellbeing coordinators, school leaders, and other professionals working with young people in educational settings.
Because the questions keeping educators awake have changed.
It's not just "How do we manage behaviour?"
It's "How do we create cultures where every student feels they belong?"
It's not just "What consequences work?"
It's "What helps young people learn to navigate harm, conflict and repair?"
This workshop gives you the foundations to shift from reactive discipline to proactive connection- from compliance-driven responses to cultures of care where relationships guide every interaction.
When you understand the why behind restorative practice and have practical tools for the how, you can create classrooms where students feel safe, valued, and genuinely seen.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live, in particular the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge all First Nation peoples as the traditional custodians of the continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. We recognise and celebrate their continued connection to the land and waters of this place, and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.
