Pre-requisite: Must have completed Introduction to Restorative Practices with Restorative Pathways
Restorative Practice isn't just a set of tools—it's a way of being that places people and relationships at the heart of schools and communities.
But knowing the theory and living it in the messy, pressured reality of school life are two different things.
This advanced workshop is designed to bridge that gap. Over two intensive days, you'll move beyond the foundational "what" of restorative practice into the skilled "how"—developing the confidence, language, and lived experience to respond to complex challenges with clarity, compassion, and genuine effectiveness.
This is where restorative practice becomes second nature. Where you stop thinking about what to say and start trusting your capacity to show up restoratively, even in the moments that matter most.
Self-determination theory and its link to RP
Trauma-aware practices and creating genuine psychological safety
The continuum of restorative responses - matching your approach to the level of harm
Moving from reactive to responsive in high-stakes moments
Micro-scripts and practical language for difficul conversations (with staff, students, and families)
Restorative coaching approaches to support others in the work
Skill-building around reframing, questioning, de-escalation, and more
Live practice and role play in a supportive environment, small cohort environment
Real scenarios from your context
Opportunities to practice and receive feedback
Connection with other practitioners navigating similar challenges
This training is for educators, school leaders, and wellbeing professionals who have completed Introduction to Restorative Practices and are ready to:
Navigate complex conversations and challenging dynamics with greater skill
Deepen their trauma-informed practice
Support colleagues and teams in adopting restorative approaches
Move from "doing restorative" to "being restorative" in their daily practice
Lead cultural change in their school or organisation
If you've done the foundational training and found yourself thinking, "I understand the principles—now I need help with the practice," this is for you.
This isn't a sit-and-listen professional learning day.
Expect to be hands-on, reflective, and genuinely engaged across both days. You'll have space to bring your real challenges, practice in low-stakes environments, ask the questions that keep you awake, and leave with skills you can use immediately.
We keep cohorts intentionally small to create the kind of learning environment where vulnerability, practice, and growth actually happen.
This is the professional learning educators describe as "some of the best we've ever had"—not because it's easy, but because it's deeply practical, values-aligned, and honours the complexity of the work you're actually doing.
Limited Spots! Early bird rate available with code ARP25 at the checkout.
